Friends of Japanese Culture Society This is the homepage of the Friends of Japanese Culture Society (Finland Nihon Bunka Tomo no Kai), situated in Helsinki, Finland. The aim of the Society is mainly directed towards making Japanese Culture known in Finland as well as promoting Finnish-Japanese cultural interaction in general. This Society was founded in 1978 and its membership level is presently around 550. We publish a quarterly programme called "Tomo" (Friend) for our members, as well as an annual, more widely distributed cultural publication called "Hashi" (Bridge). The proceedings of the Society are mainly in the Finnish language but contacts to the Society can be made in Swedish, English or Japanese. The membership fee for the year 2002 is EUR 17.
